1. Getting Around in Basel


Basel is well served by public transport for getting to all the grounds we use.

Basel Verkehrs-Betriebe is the local operator.[url=http://https://www.bvb.ch/en/]

Being on the borders of the France and Germany Basel is well connected by rail.
The Swiss [url=https://www.sbb.ch/en/home.html] and French networks
https://www.sncf.com/en meet at Basel SBB.
The German network https://www.bahn.com/en/view/index.shtml runs into Badischer Bahnhof- There are regular services connecting SBB and BB.

Parking
The parking places are divided into different zones:

Blue Zones: Parking from Monday till Saturday from 8 am until 6 pm is free of charge for an hour with the blue parking disc (including EU parking disc). On Sundays and Public Holidays parking is free from 19.00-07.00.

Yellow Zones: These are private or reserved for companies and may only be used by them or their clients and guests.

White zones: These are chargeable, often numbered and located near a parking meter.

All/half day parking ticket
The visitor’s parking ticket entitles you to park in the blue zones in Basel and Riehen. You can choose between a half-day parking ticket (08 am to 1 pm or 12 pm to 7 pm) and a one-day parking ticket (8 am to 7 pm). The price of the half-day ticket is CHF 12.00 and for the one-day parking ticket CHF 20.00. Visitor parking tickets can be ordered online or purchased at any TNW/BVB ticket machines in the Basel-Stadt (City) canton.
